Below are a few suggestions on how to invite people to join you in your Registration Group to attend Raising Kids to Do Hard Things together. We encourage you to customize this plan to fit your local needs and opportunities. Be creative.

Personal Contacts

  • Create a contact list and determine the best way to reach each of your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers— by email, a personal letter, a phone call, a tweet on Twitter, on your social network site, a notice in a newsletter,  or as an announcement.
  • Contact each of the outreach leaders in your church and inform them of the benefits of the upcoming Raising Kids to Do Hard Things Seminar. Ask each leader if he would play our promotional DVD (coming soon) or invite you to personally speak to his group.
  • Use e-mail to send a special message to your friends and family members reminding them of the seminar and inviting them to register before each new registration deadline. Be sure to include your Registration Group Organizers name so that each group member can be properly included to receive the group’s 10% discount.
  • Invite others by handing out Raising Kids to Do Hard Things brochures with your name, your Group Organizer’s name, and your contact information. Give color brochures only to those people you have spoken with directly.
  • Make personal invitations over the phone. This can be very effective.
  • Host a home or office party presenting the promotional DVD for Raising Kids to Do Hard Things. Ask someone to share their story about the impact of the work of Gregg Harris and/or The Rebelution on his or her own family.
Social Web Network
  • Use your social networking pages at Facebook, MySpace, Plaxo, etc., to encourage your friends around the world to join your group and attend the Raising Kids to Do Hard Things Seminar nearest them.
  • Send out a “tweet” on your Twitter account, or send a text message to your cell phone contact lists.
  • Make good use of any new technologies you use to stay in contact with others.
Your Local Community
  • Work with local organizations by inviting their members to join your group to attend Raising Kids to Do Hard Things. Make announcements, show the DVD, and use your website to create invitations and endorsements.
  • Work with local business owners by inviting their employees, clients, and customers to join your group to attend Raising Kids to Do Hard Things.
Your Local Church, Fellowship of Churches, Denomination or Mission Agency

1. Pastoral Staff
  • Make sure your pastors and church staff are involved in your efforts to form a Raising Kids to Do Hard Things group at your church. We offer a Free Pastors Family Pass to each church that succeeds in building a Registration Group.
  • It is important for you to coordinate your efforts with others and be sensitive to your church’s current priorities.
  • Make sure you extend a personal invitation to your pastor and his spouse to attend the conference free as our guests.
2. Plan
  • Outline your promotional calendar.
  • Don’t forget that group members must register at least 10 days prior to seminar date to receive free pass for the organizer.
  • Ask your pastor or assigned church contact about placement and timing for the promotional materials and ideas to the right.
3. Promote
  • Personally invite members of your church.
  • Aside from your personal invitation, hosting an information table in the church may be your most effective promotional tool. Set the table in the most visible location possible, preferably near an entrance or exit. Always have plenty of brochures available to hand out and be sure that your group information is easily visible on each brochure.
Other ways to promote the conference:
  • Pulpit announcements
  • Bulletin inserts
  • Video presentation
  • Posters
  • Flyers
  • Sunday school messages
  • Newsletter articles
  • Banners
  • Skits (Produce these with family members and friends)
1. Recruit
  • Depending on the size of your church, you may need to recruit others within your church to help you get the word out.
  • Cast a vision of what your community would look like with stronger, healthier households.
  • Use your own story or one of our Raising Kids to Do Hard Things  testimonials.
  • Share how this seminar restores and strengthens families by clearly communicating God’s plan and purpose for the Christian household.
