Bring Your Local Church

By being a Champion for The Households of Strength Seminar in your local church, you can bless hundreds of people at one time. But in doing so it is important to honor and respect the leaders of your church. If you are a pastor, elder or deacon, you may have an open opportunity.  If not, be sure to approach your leaders in a way that unifies the local church and avoids conflicts with other church events and values.
1. Pastoral Staff
  • Make sure your pastors and church staff are involved in your efforts to form a Households of Strength Seminar group at your church.
  • It is important for you to coordinate your efforts with others and be sensitive to your church’s current priorities.
  • Make sure you extend a personal invitation to your pastor and his spouse to attend the conference free as our guests.
2. Plan
  • Outline your promotional calendar.
  • Don’t forget that group members must register at least 10 days prior to seminar date to receive free pass for the organizer.
  • Ask your pastor or assigned church contact about placement and timing for the promotional materials and ideas to the right.
3. Promote
  • Personally invite members of your church.
  • Aside from your personal invitation, hosting an information table in the church may be your most effective promotional tool. Set the table in the most visible location possible, preferably near an entrance or exit. Always have plenty of brochures available to hand out and be sure that your group information is easily visible on each brochure.
Other ways to promote the conference:
  • Pulpit announcements
  • Bulletin inserts
  • Video presentation
  • Posters
  • Fliers
  • Sunday school messages
  • Newsletter articles
  • Banners
  • Skits (Produce these with family members and friends)
1. Recruit
  • Depending on the size of your church, you may need to recruit others within your church to help you get the word out.
  • Cast a vision of what your community would look like with stronger, healthier households.
  • Use your own story or one of our Households of Strength Seminar testimonials.
  • Share how this seminar restores and strengthens families by clearly communicating God’s plan and purpose for the Christian household.
